In 2011 I made the leap to a Nikon D5000 DSLR, my first "real" camera. That year it was with me on an Alaskan cruise and a trip to Maui, where I took my first workshop. I hired a photographer tour guide to take me to some interesting places on the island.
Now I am a full blown fanatic, deep into all this photography "stuff". I have purchased newer, faster, better Nikon cameras and a great assortment of lenses. I follow one photographer in particular, Hudson Henry, and have been on many of his workshops around the US and one to Patagonia. I have met and found new friendships with the workshop participants and always look forward to getting together with my fellow photographers to explore another location and push ourselves to try new techniques to capture our vision.
